New: Chic guardian angel for notebooks

Sunday 16 March, 2008

Swiss Travel Products have been thinking one step ahead and have designed a chic new look for notebook locks. From now on, designer notebooks can be secured with a trendy white lock. Other clever features include automatic adjustment to the depth of the notebook’s security slot and rotary casing.

It’s a familiar situation: you are sitting on your own on the train and simply want to go and quickly get a coffee from the buffet car. However, the time it takes to shut down and put away your laptop is almost longer than the journey itself. That need no longer be a problem with the new Swiss Cable Lock from Swiss Travel Products! One simple action is all you need, and the lock is firmly secured to the notebook. Thanks to patented technology, the Swiss Cable Lock adapts automatically to the depth of each notebook’s security slot. Adjustment spacers are a thing of the past! Another new feature on Swiss Travel Products Swiss Cable Lock is casing that rotates around the cable. Notebooks can thus be secured in any position without users having to perform contortions to get in line with the cable.

A lot has also been done in terms of looks. Users of designer laptops or MacBooks can breathe a sigh of relief, a notebook lock is now finally available in trendy white. And for anyone who prefers to be less conspicuous, the Swiss Cable Lock also comes in classic black.

Despite this styling, the notebook lock’s security has not suffered at all. A tumbler with nine rotating discs and 20,000 combinations, a security cable 1.8m long and 5.5m thick and a patented locking system and adjustment mechanism will make it difficult for thieves to operate unnoticed in future.

The Swiss Cable Lock is available in black or white from specialist travel accessory retailers, selected department stores and Swiss Travel Products’ online shop at www.swisstravelshop.de.
